9 Excellent Fruits to Eat in Pregnancy

Fruits contain very important nutrients essential for a healthy mother and baby.Considering the fact that research findings reveal that foods taken during pregnancy go a long way to give babies good start in life.

It is better to eat fruits in their fresh organic state than otherwise.There are so many fruits available but here are the ones we have selected for you-

1. Oranges: They are a great source of vitamin c which helps to prevent cell damage and also an antioxidant.Oranges has folate which prevent neural tube defect.

2.  Apples:Studies reveal that pregnant mothers who eat Apple's were mire favourably inclined to have children free from childhood allergies and asthma.Also,Apple's increases the immunity of both mother and child,detoxifies and aid digestion.

3.Guavas: This fruit is called the poor man apple and contains vitamins C,E and folic acid.It helps to relax the nerves and muscles and may also help to reduce sleeping problems(a challenge for most pregnant women).Guavas prevents and reduces constipation.

4.Mangoes:This seasonal fruit is most people's favourite,it is packed full of large amounts of vitamin C and A.Very good for pregnant women who are suffering from anaemia.

7. Bananas :They contain potassium,vitamin B6 and C and fibre.It's potassium content may help to reduce anxiety and sleep problems in pregnancy.In addition,it alleviates leg cramps, maintains electrolyte balance in the blood ,regulates blood pressure and relieves constipation.

8.Berries:Such as strawberries,blackberries,blueberries raspberries are super foods and contain antioxidants.

9.Avocados:They contain vitamins B,C,K,choline and essential minerals like potassium and magnesium,because of its magnesium and potassium content its helps to bring about relief from nausea and leg cramps in pregnancy.Choline in avocados also help to prevent neural tube defect.
