How A Nigerian Woman Nearly Lost Her Children Due to Their School's Negligence

A mother of two narrated on social media about how her children almost died as a result of their school's employees negligent action. She is also suing the school-Crane School, for negligence and attempted murder.

This was what happened according to her.She said in February, her son and daughter who are three and two years of age respectively, went for an excursion with their schoolmates to OMU Resort, Bogije. When they reached the resort the nanny, driver and other kids alighted from the bus leaving her kids behind. The driver closed the doors and everything, everyone went in.

Sometime later, a staff of the resort was just passing by the parking lot when her boy called out "uncle" and the shocked man upon looking inside the bus saw that both kids were covered in sweat, her daughter had passed out and her son barely conscious. The man raised an alarm and they were able to open the bus on time. Her daughter was gasping for air, both of them had to be undressed because their bodies were burning hot. They each finished a large bottle of water as they were very dehydrated.

The resort staff asked the school for her phone number as they were determined to report their deadly negligence.Crane school refused to give it until they threatened to post pictures of the kids and the bus on social media that they finally gave in.She and her husband rushed to the resort after the call and asked to see the childminder and the driver who left their kids in the bus.The school refused to tell who they were. She and her husband wanted to know why it was just their kids that were left in the bus. They were also suspicious that it was not an accident.

Her appeal to other parents following this harrowing experience is that they should keep an eye on their children, If they are always afraid to go to school, do some investigation. If they get bruises often, don't let it go.Pop in on the school unannounced from time to time to see what goes on when you are not there. Always be vigilant!
