Five Ways Mum's Can be Routine Experts

After childbirth, most mums find it difficult to keep a routine, at times finding a quiet time with your husband can also be a challenging. The kids will always need attention, and before you will think of anything creative they are just there at the door making a request or can even jump on the bed uninvited.

To get things done so you can have a sense of fulfillment and be happy, you should learn to manage your time and plan your day the day before. We will share some five useful tips that mum’s could adopt to be routine experts.

Schedule a convenient wake up time to pray and meditate

Waking up early influences your day, studies have showed that those that wake up early achieve more than those that wake up late. For a promising mum, wake up time is very important. It should be earlier than every other member of the family. And it shouldn’t be a time to jump into the day’s activities immediately, but a time to pray, meditate and focus on the day.

Observing siesta

With very demanding kids, it is one very difficult thing for a mum to do - finding time to observe her siesta. Well, it is something that mum has to really find time to do if she must be fit to nurse her baby. The trick is to ensure you also take your power nap once your baby starts to sleep; and in the night, believing that your husband is very understanding, arrange schedules or take turns to take care of the baby. In that way, both of you would be able to have sufficient sleep.

Exercising for fitness.

Exercising is necessary to keep healthy and also stay fit; but it could be a difficult task with the kids around. So some smart mums have devised methods of exercising that has really worked out for them over the years.

Have your workout as the kids are playing, with this, your time syncs with theirs so you won’t need apportioned hours to have your workout.

Make them join you in your own workout session

With grown up kids, you can also have your workout while they are eating or watching a favorite TV show or movie. Follow whichever method that works for you.

Read a novel

Reading is one great way of keeping the brain active and healthy. It doesn’t have to be strenuous reading; just a few pages or chapters at that very convenient time. Schedule your reading hour to sync with when the kids are away, when the kids are sleeping, when the kids are also doing their homework etc but there is always a perfect time when the kids are also engaged with some work.

Take a brisk walk

Taking a brisk walk is one other daily routing that can help mum stay fit. It should have proper schedules and be done consciously as a goal oriented activity. If the compound is big, it can even be done in the compound. It could even be when you take the baby out to the park. In five minutes, you would have achieved your goal.

Being an expert at routines is not rocket science, it’s by synchronizing your activities with that of your kids.
