Ten Things Moms Should Teach Their Sons about How to Treat Girls

 The truth is that your little boy will grow up to be an adult, and be joined by his wife, someday and educating him on how to treat a woman is relevant.For instance,teaching him ways to control his temper can help reduce or stop the occurrence of being a domestic violence perpetrator in future. Also, assisting his wife with domestic chores and child care, being responsible, empathetic and accountable etc starts from his growing up years as a boy.A girl/woman deserves respect as a wife, mother, colleague, sister etc.There is no better time to start educating your boy child about these things but now.

1. Treat a girl as an equal

The time has passed when a boy child will undermine the abilities of the girl child. They are equally gifted; teach your son to treat a lady as an equal. 

2. Be respectful to girls 

The respect they say is reciprocal, if you want to be respected, then learn to respect others even your female counterpart. 

3. The uniqueness of the female gender

Are you unique as a male child looking forward to being a father shortly? Then know that even your female counterpart is unique as the childbearing specie and a mother. Let your son know that every girl is unique. 

4. Don’t be a bully

Mothers, one thing you should teach your son is, that he should not be a bully, and treat girls with love and care. 

5. Proper communication 

There is a language of proper communication with a girl; your son should learn the art of how to address a girl. Don’t be mean in your language when you are addressing a girl.

6. Love 

If you wish to be loved, they also learn to show love; love the girl child and she will show you love too. 

7. Be a source of encouragement

Always teach your son to support his woman; there is a lot of encouragement when a woman knows she has a man that has got her back.

8. Never look down on a woman

A man should never look down on his woman no matter what, never underestimate the power of a woman, they are God sent to us, so never look down on your woman.

9. Support your woman’s dreams

If you want someone to support you to actualize your dreams, then be ready to support another. That is how it is, teach your sons to learn to support the dreams of the girl in his life.

Remember, that children do what they see than what they are told.As a parent you should model or rather show/demonstrates that respect for women.
