Fun Ways to Engage your Kids Indoors

To ensure that children learn while playing,play should be full of fun so as to capture and sustain their attention.Having fun is not just for the outdoors it can also happen indoors.We will look at some of these fun ways to engage your kids indoors and in the process develop their power of perception and intelligence.

Remember, that there are four basic ways kids learn: tactile, that is by touching, by sight, that is by seeing as against looking, by smell or perceiving, by listening as against hearing and by tasting.It is great to know that when your child is building blocks, he or she is learning balance etc. The fun ways in engaging your kids indoors fall under the power of learning in the spirit of play which is highly productive.

• Work a puzzle with your kid. Puzzles have the power of developing your kids IQ, power of perception, reasoning and judgment – making the right choices. 

• Play and learn through the arts.  The arts is all encompassing, you can learn by cutting shapes from paper, painting, design, storytelling, singing, play a music instrument etc. These fall under different areas of the arts, even as they are entertaining, they have the power to build your kids brain.

• Storytelling is fun, but there are lots of gain that can be derived from it. Your child is learning how to sustain a conversation, he is learning grammar, speech delivery and how and how and good morals etc. 

• Singing enhances listening and perception and also builds in your child how to take in details. Music has the ability to do this also for your child. In fact, research says that a child that knows or can play a musical instrument will be more intelligent than children his age that are not exposed to music and musical equipment. 

• Painting and design has the ability to grow creativity in your child. It exposes your child to the beauty of nature etc. 

There are different methods you can pick from: learn rhymes, solve mathematics, learn new words, spelling contest, coding,game of chess,

quiz etc.
