Parenting is a serious business, it determines to a large extent who and what a child will become tomorrow.When a child grows up under bad parents such a kid may likely be of grave danger to himself/herself and the society in general.

Be an exemplary role model
The first contact a child will have is from parents or guardians; either you are the child’s parent, guardian or the foster parent, the best you can do for the child as a parent is to be the child’s first role model ― an exemplary role model.This can be done when you demonstrate values and character in your words and actions.For instance,when you are disciplined,neat,kind, hardworking etc your child will most likely do same.
Build confidence and self esteem
Build the confidence and self esteem of your child, it will pay off as your child grows to the point of making and taking decisions.
Demonstrate love
Don’t let your child find love in the streets, demonstrate great love from home. A child that is loved from home is not easily swayed into immorality.
Be firm with discipline
The saying says, “Teach your child the way he should go and when he is old he won’t depart from it” so as a parent, one great tip to good parenting is teaching your child to be disciplined.
Open conversations
Don’t let your child build confidence in a friend somewhere; make sure you open room for quality conversations with your kids. It builds trust and understanding.
Listen to your child’s opinion
Another great parenting tip is learning to listen to your child’s opinion. Wisdom doesn’t reside only with those that are our senior; even kids have wisdom to share.
Teach contentment
Contentment is one great parenting lesson that will keep your child away from crime and drugs etc.
Parenting can be very interesting if we adopt the right tips; but it doesn’t just end there, we will be able to raise children that would create positive change in the world.
